The unit accepts up to 8 DVB-ASI inputs that are either single program or multi program. The CL-ASIMUX-8 then compresses and encodes all inputs into a single multi-channel transport stream output. The output supports EPG (Electronic Program Guide), CA (Conditional Access), and data broadcasting. The inputs support serial ASI at a bit rate of up to 270Mbps. Four output signals are supplied for added versitility. SI (Service Information) data can be inserted via a provided input channel to the output transport streams for achieving real time generation of EPG data. The CL-ASIMUX-8 can run completely independently of external control software and is fully configurable via the front panel user interface. This unit is perfect for multiplexing or re-multiplexing all MPEG ASI transport streams and for insertion and generation of EPG data.
