MPEG-2 to MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 SD Transcoder with IP output

Sometimes when working with Video transport streams it is necessary to reduce the bandwidth. A common approach to this problem is to convert MPEG-2 Video to MPEG4. MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 is an encoding system that uses much less bandwidth than the older MPEG-2 encoding sceme. The CL-MPEG224TR is a professional SD TS Transcoder Device that takes an incoming MPEG2 transport stream and transcodes it to MPEG-4. The unit has 1 ASI Input Interface and 2 mirrored ASI Outputs, and it supports MPEG-2 Encoding format transcoded to MPEG-4 AVC/H.264. The Transcoding processes is completely digital so there is little loss in image quality. There is no digital to analog or analog to digital conversion of any kind. This device can also de-multiplex 1 program from the input MPTS (Multi Program Transport Stream) and Transcode the program from MPEG-2 to MPEG-4 AVC/H.264. The unit can also work completely with IP inputs and outputs. The Transcoder operations are controlled and monitored via Network Monitoring Software.
